The FHP Deutschlandstipendium – inspiring, practical, close
Potsdam University of Applied Sciences awards Deutschlandstipendien as part of the national scholarship programme run by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). Together with sponsors and donors, the FHP Deutschlandstipendium supports particularly committed and motivated students, encouraging them to develop their talents and potential and to prepare for their future careers.
The FHP Deutschlandstipendium
The FHP Deutschlandstipendium is a scheme for supporting talented and high-achieving students under the National Scholarship Act, providing a monthly grant of €300 to the top-performing students in each year group. The focus is on academic achievement, talent and exceptional commitment: good grades and academic performance are just as important as a willingness to take on responsibility or the successful overcoming of obstacles in one’s personal and educational journey.
The grant is paid regardless of income or parental circumstances, and in addition to BAföG benefits; it is awarded for a minimum of two semesters and up to the end of the standard period of study, and does not need to be repaid. The FHP Germany Scholarship is funded equally by private donors and committed companies and by the federal government: 150 euros come from private sources, 150 euros from the public sector.
The President awards the scholarships based on the recommendations of the departmental committees.
