Postdoc

As a postdoc at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, you will gain scientific qualifications in projects, gain teaching experience and conduct research in order to apply for a professorship.

A postdoc is usually carried out in a third-party funded project in a temporary position as a research assistant in pay grade TV-L 13 or as an academic assistant in teaching. The level depends on your previous professional experience, which can be credited towards the advertised position. Job vacancies are advertised publicly.

Through our personnel development and young talent promotion programmes, you will be part of a network that promotes exchange among peers and supports you with further training opportunities.

Postdoc Dual

Building on the concept of dual study programmes and in order to enable a successful triad of research, teaching and practice, the FHP is testing dual models for promoting young talent in the P³Dual project, with positions financed equally (50% by the FHP and 50% by the practice partner), opening up career prospects both within and outside the FHP.

The programme enables you to fulfil the necessary appointment requirements  (§42 BbgHG) for a university of applied sciences professorship ‘on your way’ to becoming a professor. At the same time, you participate in our personnel development and promotion of young talent and are part of a network that supports exchange among peers.

Within the framework of P³Dual, all postdoc dual qualification positions have been successfully filled.

Funding opportunities for early-career researchers

The Women's Advancement Fund is a measure to promote equality and gender-sensitive personnel development as part of the Professoress Programme III at FHP: young female scientists are to be offered incentives for publication, individual qualification, profiling and networking. The Central Equal Opportunities Officer will inform you about funding conditions and application procedures.

University members can submit applications for projects to the Innovation Fund at any time in order to prepare a specific third-party funding application. There are no fixed application deadlines. Further information can be found on the Innovation Fund pages.

The Brandenburg State Publication Fund for Open Access Monographs provides members of Brandenburg's eight colleges and universities with funding opportunities for monographs and similar publication formats, as well as innovative projects in this field.
