As the central institution of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, the library has been making knowledge available to the public for over 30 years – for students, lecturers, researchers, university guests and interested citizens. We also ensure the analogue and digital supply of media and information to all departments of the university.

Important information at a glance

Library opening hours

During the lecture period:

Monday to Friday
10.00 am – 6.00 pm

During the lecture-free period

Monday and Friday
10.00 am – 4.00 pm

Tuesday to Thursday
10.00 am – 6.00 pm

The library is closed on public holidays.

User account and password

In the user account, you can change your own user data and renew borrowed media independently.

Access to the user account is possible via the personal password: Day and month of birth = DDMM (e.g.: 01.01.1999 = 0101)

Directly to the catalogue

The FHPKat is the central library catalogue of the FH Potsdam library.

FHPKat+ additionally offers the possibility to search dependent sources such as journal articles from eJournals.

Joint Exhibition "Drängende Gegenwart" in the University Library

The joint exhibition "Drängende Gegenwart" will open on the 5th of December 2023 at 3.30 pm in the foyer of the main building of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Photographic and textile works by students from the Department of Design will be exhibited in the library of the FH Potsdam.
