Activities at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam
Students at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam can not only get involved in courses, but also in other activities and offerings on campus. From the student self-administration to the campus garden and the casino to offers that the university provides in cooperation with other organisations, there is something for everyone.
University Sports
Indoor, outdoor and online courses are offered throughout the year by the Centre for University Sports at the University of Potsdam for all sports enthusiasts. The course fees are reduced for members of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Registration is via the website of the Centre for University Sports.
Casino
The Casino is the self-managed student cultural centre, café and pub at the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. It has existed for over 25 years and is located in House 17. The volunteer members regularly organise events such as concerts, cinema or quizzes. Committed people who would like to support the casino on a voluntary basis are always welcome.
Campus Garden
The campus garden is the green hub on the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam campus. In the winter semester 2015/16, students developed concepts for community gardens in an interdisciplinary seminar in the InterFlex teaching format. Over the years, a colourful working group of currently about 50 students, employees, young families and senior citizens from the university and the neighbourhood has emerged.
The bed patrons meet regularly to water, garden or work together and grow vegetables and herbs in about 40 raised beds. Cooperation has been established with several degree programmes ot the university and there is now a waiting list for bed sponsors.

Foreign Language Courses
The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam offers language courses in cooperation with the Volkshochschule Potsdam for a fee (reduced participation fee for students). Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a qualified certificate of participation or a European language certificate. Students of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam can use the language courses offered by the University of Potsdam to improve their language skills. All information can be found on the website of the Centre for Languages and Key Competencies at the University of Potsdam.
