Starting the Conservation and Restoration Degree Programme
A warm welcome to the Conservation and Restoration degree programme at the Department of CITY | BUILDING | CULTURE of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. We organise an induction week at the start of the semester for first-year students and newly enrolled students.
Information on starting your studies
The academic staff of the Conservation and Restoration degree programme look forward to welcoming you in the winter semester of 2026/27! To mark the occasion, we invite you to the degree programme’s official welcome event on Monday, the 21st of September 2026 at 9.00 am. The meeting point is in room A.3.08 (Building A).
At the introductory session, you will receive the key information you need to get started on your degree programme:
- study plan, timetable, organisational details, etc.
- a short tour of the degree programme’s laboratories and workshops in the laboratory and workshop building
During the brunch on the terrace afterwards, there will be an opportunity to get to know one another better.
Your first module, the block course B.K 04.3 „Photography“ taught by Christoph Otto, begins on Monday the 21st of September 2026 at 2.00 pm in room A.0.22.

Monday 5th of October 2026: Health and safety briefing and IT induction
Safety induction, IT induction, e-learning/Moodle, email and Wi-Fi at the FHP, as well as the use of printing and plotting systems
