Information on the start of studies

The faculty of the conservation and restoration programme is looking forward to welcoming you in the winter semester 2023/24!

To this end, we invite you to the official welcome by the lecturers in the conservation and restoration degree programme on monday, 25th of september 2023 at 9.00 am. The meeting point is in house A/room 308.

We wish you every success in your first steps into the degree programme and look forward to meeting you!

Dates for the start of the semester at a glance

Monday,25/09/2023, 9.00 am | Welcome

The official welcome to the conservation and restoration degree programme takes place at 9.00 in house A/room 308. At the introductory event, you will receive the most important information for starting your studies, including the study plan, timetable and organisational questions. After the introduction, there will be a short tour of the laboratory and the workshops of the study programme in the laboratory and workshop building.

There will then be an opportunity to get to know each other better at a subsequent brunch on the terrace.

Monday to Friday, 25 – 29/09/2023 | Block course

Your first course, the block course M 18.2 Restoration Ethics and History with Prof. Dr. Jan Raue, starts Tuesday, 26/9/2023 at 9.00 in A 308.

9.00 - 11.00 am, (main building/room 108)

  • The official matriculation ceremony and opening of the winter semester 2023/24 will take place in the lecture hall in the main building.
  • Information on the matriculation ceremony will be available shortly on the FHP's start of studies page.

4.00 - 6.00, (main building/room 108)

  • Safety briefing
    Please note: This safety briefing is compulsory!
  • IT introduction, eLearning/Moodle, e-mail and WLAN at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam
  • Information on the use of printing and plotting systems
