Portrait exhibition "macht.ZUKUNFT."
The exhibition portrays the creative ideas and progressive visions of numerous minds at FHP and shows their influence on our social future. The portraits will hang in the foyer of the main building until the 6th of January, 2026 and can then be found in the campus buildings.
The future doesn't just happen - it is made!
It is created when people realise their ideas, break new ground and take on responsibility. The machts.ZUKUNFT exhibition focuses on precisely these people: 35 portraits of students, alumni, employees and partners of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam reveal the decisions they made and the resulting career paths, offering insights into their reflections on these experiences.
The spectrum ranges from traditional career paths to innovative start-ups and interdisciplinary projects. Personal motivations, challenges and moments of success are all brought to light, as are the questions associated with each new step. Their stories reveal the many different paths that can be taken after graduation.
The portraits are supplemented by the results of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam's Entrepreneurship School start-up monitor and start-up service. These results categorise the start-up propensity of our interviewees and offer a scientifically sound view of how degree programmes and university contexts can influence career decisions.
The title "macht.ZUKUNFT." refers to the tension between individual creative power and social responsibility. It suggests that the future is not a distant promise, but is created through our actions in the here and now - through what we do, how we decide and what we are committed to.
Vernissage on the 15th of October, 2025
On the day of the exhibition opening, numerous interested people found their way to the foyer and celebrated the result of months of work together with the University President and the initiators of the project as well as the photographer of the portraits. The portraits of the various personalities depicted will hang in the foyer of the main building until the beginning of 2026. Afterwards, they will be displayed in various places on campus.
