Successful completion 2025 | Further training "Family Council Coordinator"

This year's "Family Council Coordinator" training programme, led by Professor Hubert Höllmüller from the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, concluded on Saturday.
A family council thrives on winning over as many people as possible from the immediate environment for the help process of a person affected, to find solutions together in order to face the challenges of life more easily. The following questions were addressed as part of the training programme: What is a family council? How does it work? What roles do the commissioning professional and the coordinator have, especially in child protection? How does the participation of children and young people in the family council work? And what happens after the family council?
Participants expand their expertise and become qualified to conduct family councils on behalf of independent and public organisations. The alternation between online and face-to-face modules guarantees a broader view of theory and practice, and family council cases are sufficiently tested and reflected on in role play.
Dr Hubert Höllmüller, the scientific director, explains : "I am very pleased with the results of the case discussions, family councils are always a benefit. Individuals in the family or circle of friends taking steps and taking responsibility relieves the entire family enormously."
The training programme takes place annually at the FH Potsdam. Prerequisites for participation are a completed degree or vocational training and professional experience in the social sector. You can find more information about the training programme on our website.
