Free childcare places available from September 2025

Andrea Britz and Steffi Parlitz look after up to 10 children in the private childcare centre in House 5 on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. This is the right place for families who want their child(ren) to be looked after in a small group, who want direct contact with the childminder and who want to benefit from the family-friendly services offered by the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.

Starting in early September, there will be four places available at the ‘Kleine Entdecker’ daycare centre. Children aged one to three are cared for, and older children can also be accommodated if necessary.

Steffi Parlitz: "Every child learns to become more independent in a calm and loving environment. I support them in this process. Activities are designed to suit the situation and are individually tailored. The children are allowed to develop at their own pace in a pleasant, calm atmosphere. A recurring daily routine provides a safe framework for learning combined with fun. I also pass on my great interest in nature to the children. You can obtain more information in a personal conversation."

Families from Potsdam, but also from the surrounding area of Brandenburg and Berlin are welcome. Cooperation with companies is also conceivable.

The FHP has been cooperating with Andrea Britz and Steffi Parlitz since 2016 and arranges places for university members. You can contact the educational specialist directly at:
