On the 12th ofJanuary, 2026, the two founders of DAHLEDOHR presented their DOPPELHOHRN 10.1 speakers, which won the Brandenburg Design Award, as part of the TINY HOUSE RAVE at the FHP Mobil.

With the DOPPELHORN 10.1, the two founders Maximilian Dohr and Jonathan Dahle of DAHLEDOHR are pursuing a consistent approach: an uncompromising combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation. Inspired by classic loudspeaker development and global sound system culture, the system combines a powerful 10-inch woofer in a horn-loaded bass reflex cabinet with an external horn driver.

The specially developed, 3D-printed horns are a technical highlight. They enable precise control of the sound radiation and significantly reduce disruptive ambient reflections. The result is improved acoustics that make flexible room integration much easier - even in challenging environments such as the FHP Mobil.

The enclosure is designed for maximum versatility: Thanks to all-round M20 threads, the system can be flexibly aligned and adapted to a wide variety of usage scenarios. This "modular concept" is complemented by a high level of ease of repair and expandability. DAHLEDOHR also favours sustainability in its choice of materials. Largely renewable raw materials such as birch plywood, MDF and polylactide (PLA) are used. The team is also currently experimenting with mycelium (mushroom mesh) for internal insulation.

A conscious statement against wasting resources is the decision not to use rare earth magnets - despite their high performance, this is a step in favour of more ecological production.

On 12 January 2025, the sound of the speakers could first be heard in an "easy listening session" from the comfort of the sofa in the FHP Mobil, then later in the evening the volume was turned up for the TINY HOUSE RAVE in the FHP Mobil. Master's student Tilmann Finner used a sound-reactive light show and fog machine to create a sense of space that made the small FHP Mobil feel like an open-plan disco.

On their journey from the initial idea to the award-winning product, the founders underwent start-up counselling from the FHP Start-up Service and at the end of 2025, their loudspeaker was awarded the Brandenburg Design Prize in the "Young Professionals / Product Design" category.
