ttt - Testing Transdisciplinary Tools: Using the "Most Significant Change" Method to Visualise the Impact of Projects

Making different perspectives on change visible - using the "Most Significant Change" method to jointly reflect on the impact of projects: The method is primarily used in international development cooperation and the social sector, but is also suitable for use in transdisciplinary projects in which scientists from different disciplines work with non-scientific stakeholders to solve complex social problems.

The "Most Significant Change" method helps those involved in a project to visualise the changes achieved or created during the course of the project. To this end, individuals or stakeholder groups share stories about experiences and developments that are particularly significant for them. In this way, different perceptions, perspectives and priorities can be collected, reflected on and discussed together. The results and learning processes associated with this, which may also be unexpected, can be helpful building blocks for the evaluation or readjustment of the project, both at the end of the project and during the ongoing project.

In this ttt, we would like to familiarise ourselves with the "Most Significant Change" method and practise sharing and evaluating significant experiences as stories using our own perspectives. As always, there will also be room for mutual exchange.

Do you have specific questions on the topic that we should definitely address? Then please send your questions in advance to wissenstransfer@innowest-brandenburg.de.
