We cordially invite you to the first Career Days on October 20-21, 2025, at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam! Two days full of inspiration, workshops, and networking opportunities related to starting your career await you — in person or online.

Career Days are organized jointly by Work@Heart und the project„IFMB2 – Internationale Fachkräfte für die Metropolregion Berlin-Brandenburg“.
Work@Heart is a free guide that accompanies your studies and includes coaching and mentoring services as well as catalysts for career orientation. This program offers you valuable insights into promising Brandenburg companies as well as skills training and qualification opportunities to increase your chances of a successful career start – possibly even your dream job.
The project IFMB2 – Internationale Fachkräfte für die Metropolregion Berlin-Brandenburg promotes structures and networks at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam in order to support international students more successfully in their studies and integrate graduates into the German labor market, with a focus on Berlin-Brandenburg. The objectives are to promote a welcoming culture, support academic success, and improve professional integration.

Self-reflection and business etiquette for your dream job
First impressions count, and can often determine your future career path. In this workshop, you will learn how to reflect on your personal values, strengths and interests, and use this knowledge to set yourself realistic career goals. You will also learn how body language, soft skills and professional demeanour can open doors to your dream job. You will develop strategies for recognising opportunities, presenting yourself convincingly, and starting your new role in a healthy and productive way.

Future-Ready: Career Planning & Job Search – Everything You Need to Know Before Graduation (in English)
This interactive workshop helps you to explore your professional identity and you’re your next career steps. You will reflect on your values, strengths, interests, and competencies and learn how to highlight them effectively.
We will also focus on creating a personalized job search strategy using SMART goals, with practical exercises to define actionable next steps.

LinkedIn, interviews, CVs – when we enter the job market, we automatically tell a story about ourselves. But how can we tell our story in a way that really says something about us?
In this workshop, we will look at storytelling and personal branding. Together, we will find out what values we represent and what story we want to tell about ourselves. We will develop text, text modules and other helpful tools.
