From portfolios to social media: the key to the job market for design and architecture students

Workshop for international students

Are you studying architecture and urban planning, or design? Would you like to learn how to present yourself and your work professionally?

In this workshop, we will explore the following together:

  • how the German job market works and which industries are trending,
  • how to recognize your unique selling point (USP) and present it convincingly,
  • how to create an impressive online portfolio and a strong LinkedIn profile,
  • and how to use social media specifically for your job search.

In interactive exercises, you will design your personal profile, receive feedback, and develop strategies to become visible—as a designer, architect, or creative professional.

Workshop agenda:

  • Overview of the job market
  • Developing a unique selling proposition (USP)
  • Planning a professional online portfolio
  • Optimizing your LinkedIn profile
  • Using social media for job hunting
