WTF – Wut trifft Feminismus (Anger Meets Feminism) – Movie night followed by a discussion at the Filmmuseum Potsdam
We invite you to the Filmmuseum Potsdam on the 25th of March, 2026 as part of the 36th Brandenburg Women's Weeks 2026.
Expressing their anger, women reclaim public space: In “Mein Feind” (My Enemy), Bettina Flitner asks women in 1993: “Do you have an enemy? What would you do to him?” She then sets up photo banners with the interviewees and their answers in the pedestrian zone. The reactions ranged from outrage to solidarity. Twenty-five years later, the Swedish dance group Juck took to the streets. Their dance style: hips moving back and forth. The thrusting gesture—otherwise interpreted as masculine and sexualized—caused irritation.
Both films reflect patriarchal conditions and show that occupying public space with feminist themes is still not a matter of course today.
The event concludes with interactive film discussions (in German) with Elisa Jochum (Deutsche Kinemathek) and Johanna König (coach for anger workshops); moderated by Johanne Hoppe (film curator).
Admission is free. The cinema is wheelchair accessible. Further information can be found on the website of the Filmmuseum Potsdam.
In cooperation with the Coordination Office for Equal Opportunities of the Central Equal Opportunities Officer of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, the University of Potsdam, and the Film University Babelsberg.
