Educational Pathways through Gifted Education − Review and Perspectives

What influence can a scholarship have on the educational path of the sponsored students? What role did the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes play in your own (educational) biography and what perspectives do educational sciences and NGOs have on the promotion of gifted students? What conclusions can be drawn from a look at the past and what are the future prospects for the promotion of gifted students?

To discuss these and other questions, the Potsdam scholarship holders of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes are inviting you to a panel discussion on the topic of "Educational paths through the promotion of gifted students − retrospective and perspectives" at the University of Potsdam on Wednesday, the 18th of June 2025, to mark the centenary of the foundation.

In conversation with

  • Niclas Böhmer (alumnus of the Studienstiftung & junior professor at HPI),
  • Lisa Niendorf (educational scientist & lecturer at the HU),
  • Cedric Patrick Zoschke (ArbeiterKind.de Potsdam),
  • Annette Julius (Secretary General of the German National Academic Foundation) and
  • Christine Schulz (Humboldt-Gymnasium Potsdam)

will discuss the opportunities and challenges of gifted education.

Afterwards, there will be a joint reception with drinks and snacks to round off the evening with great conversations and enjoyable moments.

In addition to (former) scholarship holders of the Studienstiftung and other foundations, people with a background in teaching and all interested members of the public are particularly welcome.
