"Dare to Design - Spaces of Care" - German Design Graduates 2025

Under the title "Dare to Design - Spaces of Care", the exhibition from the 4th of September, 2025 to the 12th of October 2025 at the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne (MAKK) shows a selection of outstanding graduation projects by young design talents from all over Germany - including works by students from the FH Potsdam.
This year's exhibition focusses on the creative approach to societal, social and ecological challenges. The selected projects reflect an expanded understanding of design: as a collective practice, as research and as a responsibility towards people and the environment.
Spotlights: Awards from mentors
As part of the exhibition, this year's GDG mentors will honour individual projects as Spotlights. This selection recognises outstanding achievements in the originality of the idea, in transformative potential, in design and construction as well as in the areas of society, sustainability, circularity, research and knowledge transfer.
Archive: Design theses
The updated Graduates Platform is now online: Over 370 new theses from 25 universities have been added this year. The growing archive now includes over 1,500 projects since the launch of German Design Graduates in 2018.
The following graduates from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam are represented in this year's exhibition:
- Maria Kleinschmidt with "Colour in design studies"
- Lena Ringel with "Fragments"
