DAAD Equal Opportunities Grants for International Students

The International Office awards DAAD grants to international students facing particular challenges in their studies – up to 950.00 Euro per month for up to 5 months (from August 2026).

You must meet the following requirements:

• You obtained your higher education entrance qualification abroad or on a preparatory study course and do not hold German citizenship
• You are a full-time student at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam for a bachelor's degree (at least 2nd semester) or a master's degree (no Erasmus, no PhD)
• You are expected to complete your studies after the 2026/27 winter semester
• You can demonstrate a particular challenge: experience of displacement, disability (severe disability card), chronic illness, parenthood of minor children (especially single parents) or caring for relatives
• You earn a maximum of 645.00 Euros gross per month during the scholarship. If this amount is exceeded, the scholarship rate will be adjusted proportionally.
