Here, self-employed individuals and aspiring entrepreneurs can learn about the different legal structures and identify the most suitable one for their business.
In this two-hour seminar, lawyer and start-up coach Harald Keil will explain all the relevant points regarding the choice of legal form for the self-employed. This is important basic knowledge for founders and freelancers, as the appropriate legal form often changes over time with self-employment.
Here are some of the topics:
- Difference between individual and team formation
- Difference between partnerships and corporations
- Comparison of GbR, OHG and partner company as examples of partnerships (requirements, organisation/structure and content)
- Comparison of Unternehmergesellschaft and GmbH as examples of corporations (requirements, structure and content)
- Association and co-operative as further examples of corporate bodies
- Decision-making aids for the choice of legal form (formation costs, liability, taxes, etc.)
