Designing Effective Academic Posters

Poster presentations are an integral part of almost every scientific conference. Their purpose is to highlight research findings, illustrate them and stimulate discussion. To appeal to your audience, you need a clearly formulated message, a text format optimised for optimal readability, well-chosen graphics and, above all, a convincing layout for the printed or digital format.

Basic rules of graphic design will help you to make your research results visually clear and appealing. The workshop also offers time for practical exercises and feedback - participants leave the course with a newly designed or revised poster.
