Career Talk SAP: Why I Keep Becoming a Beginner
"What do you want to be when you grow up?" What happens when you no longer see your career as a ladder with a fixed destination in mind, but as a journey of discovery? In this talk, Catherine Girardin talks about her unconventional professorial recruitment journey, spanning different countries, languages, specialisms and industries - from communication and education to product management, innovation and AI.
Drawing on her current work at SAP in voice-driven AI and autonomous systems, Catherine reflects on how the same mindset that drives personal growth also fuels innovation: Challenging assumptions, questioning the seemingly impossible and remaining open to visions of the future that don't yet fully exist.
The lecture invites students to rethink their relationship to work and science.
