Library – Making knowledge accessible
As the central institution of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, the library has been making knowledge available to the public for over 30 years – for students, lecturers, researchers, university guests and interested citizens. We also ensure the analogue and digital supply of media and information to all departments of the university.

Monday to Friday
10.00 am – 6.00 pm
University library closed on 4th of December 2025
On Thursday, 4th of December 2025, the library will be closed due to an internal event.
Important information at a glance
User account and password
In the user account, you can change your own user data and renew borrowed media independently.
Access to the user account is possible via the personal password: Day and month of birth = DDMM (e.g.: 01.01.1999 = 0101)

Joint Exhibition "Drängende Gegenwart" in the University Library
The joint exhibition "Drängende Gegenwart" will open on the 5th of December 2023 at 3.30 pm in the foyer of the main building of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Photographic and textile works by students from the Department of Design will be exhibited in the library of the FH Potsdam.

Research consultation hour
For a good start in writing a scientific paper, the library offers every Friday 13:00 - 15:00 a research consultation hour.
Proposal for new acquisition
You can express your wishes for the acquisition of titles by the library at any time. Please understand that new acquisition proposals can only be acquired to a certain extent and that desired titles must fit into the library's acquisition profile.
