Information Sciences Department

Since its foundation in 1992, the Information Sciences Department has made a name for itself among information experts in Germany. It is known for its study concept of partially integrative education of archivists, librarians and information managers – also called the "Potsdam Model". Currently, almost 500 students study at the department. In addition to the degree programs, the department also offers further education programs for employees in archives and libraries.
