|WOMEN-|-Communicate COMPETENCE

More and more women are working as architects or civil engineers. Why are they often not heard or have the impression that their contribution is underestimated? This event organised by the Berlin-Brandenburg regional association of the Association of German Master Builders, Architects and Engineers (BDB) in cooperation with the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam is an immediate programme for all architects and civil engineers who want to get to the bottom of the language.

Competent and outrageous? It's not just women who know this. Construction communication is about how people have to talk to each other in a construction project so that they can understand each other. The focus of the lecture is on the unconscious behaviour of women and men in communication. This makes it clear which misinterpretations of the respective behaviour lead to the person either being misunderstood or not being heard at all. Using examples and typical situations from everyday professional life, the audience will learn to listen and speak in a new way. The aim is to create an awareness of the communication world of "others" and thus to find a basis for a new and good co-operation.

All interested persons are expressly invited to this lecture, regardless of gender.

Speaker Dipl.-Ing. Barbara Nilkens, civil engineer and communications expert, Managing Director of Nilkens Ingenieurbüro für Baukommunikation: "My aim is for everyone involved in a construction project to work together. Conscious communication helps us to relate to each other and make this relationship so resilient that it can withstand construction conflicts."
