On 1 April 2026, Prof. Dr Helga Schmid, Professor of Design Theory and Design Research, will take over the four-year position of Dean in the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. She succeeds Prof Wiebke Loeper, Professor of Photography.

Nomadic Camera: Photography, Displacement and Dis:connectivities
This anthology, which brings together perspectives from history, media studies, art, art history and ethnology, examines the "nomadic camera" in the context of migration, flight and displacement. As a documentary and theoretical concept, it expands the understanding of migration and photography.
New FLEX Course in Cooperation With the Waschhaus Potsdam
The Entrepeneurship School's FLEX courses are once again open for self-enrolment. There are 5 interdisciplinary courses to choose from in the summer semester 2026. The cooperation with the Waschhaus Potsdam is new.
FH Potsdam photography exhibition opens at the Ministry of Science
Science Minister Dr Manja Schüle today opened the exhibition "Drängende Gegenwart - Fotografie als Forschungsinstrument" at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences (FHP). It will be on display at the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture (MWFK) in Potsdam from 23 January to 6 March 2026.
