Can you feel it - rooms of sensing is a student project as part of the Cultural Work degree programme, which took place from January to March 2025. The exhibition and performance were dedicated to the artistic exploration of sensory overload in everyday urban and digital life. The focus was on interdisciplinary collaboration between artists from the fields of dance, visual arts and sound. The aim was to create a sensory space for reflection and, at the same time, to offer a platform for collaborative work to emerging artists.

The interdisciplinary project was visited by around 200 people over three days and was received positively throughout. The performance, workshop and artist talks in particular met with lively interest. The participating artists appreciated the opportunity to try things out and expand their practice by exchanging ideas with other disciplines. The potential of collaborative formats became clear. The exchange with the audience was easy - around 50 evaluation forms, a visitor protocol and an internal follow-up discussion were analysed in the evaluation course. A video of the performance is currently being edited.

In order to bid a fitting farewell to the graduates of the degree programme, a celebration was organised on the 7th of February, 2025 in the Casino of the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. In addition to decorations, the physical well-being of the students, their families and the lecturers was catered for. An important aspect of this event was the exchange and networking between the different disciplines and across the different semesters.

There was a lively atmosphere at the well-attended celebration and a lot of positive feedback was received. The professors' musical programme was particularly well received. The workshop leaders expressed interest in helping to design the musical programme for the upcoming celebration. Following this year's example, the event is to be repeated for the next graduates.

The AG der Hochschulbibliotheken of the Deutscher Bibliotheksverband e.V. (dbv) is an open forum for dialogue on the challenges facing the library sector. It represents university libraries within and outside the German library system and strengthens their role in the context of academic libraries. The working group actively participates in political discussions and positions itself towards politics and the public.

The conference from the 13th to the 14th of March, 2025 focused on practical presentations and discussions on the future of the library profession. The focus was on an intensive exchange of experiences and networking among the participants. There was a particular focus on strengthening managers and recruiting new employees in order to successfully overcome future challenges. The Department of Information Science at the FHP took the opportunity to obtain direct feedback on the reorientation of the Bachelor's degree programme in Library Science. The valuable impulses and suggestions from the discussions will significantly advance the further development process. Overall, the conference provided an excellent platform for constructive dialogue and innovative ideas.

As part of the "Night of Libraries" on the 4th of April, 2025, photographs acquired by the FHP library of the former university building on Alter Markt were exhibited. This was accompanied by a screening of the 74-minute documentary film "Scrap or Opportunity" by 414films in the casino hall (Building 17), which focussed on the history of the building and the controversy surrounding its demolition. The aim was to create low-threshold access to the history of the university and to remind people of civil society forms of protest. The film screening was supplemented
by a Q&A session with the director Kristina Tschesch.

The event was aimed at members of the university, alumni and the general public. The aim was to strengthen/promote historical awareness on campus and dialogue with media professionals from Potsdam. The event was very successful. After the presentation of the photographs in the foyer of the library, interested people aged between 5 and 80 followed the screening of the documentary film with the hall almost full to capacity. Around half of the audience stayed for the subsequent discussion, in which mainly students took an active part. In addition to Kristina Tschesch, Elias Franke from 414films and photographer Adam Sevens were also available to answer questions. The spontaneous participation of Wolfgang Kärgel, the architect of the diamond-shaped façade elements, who had accepted the invitation to the event and also took part in the discussion, was particularly enriching.

In addition to the awarding of certificates, the best graduates of the year were honoured. The event offered graduates the opportunity to meet former fellow students, professors and lecturers, to exchange ideas and to maintain contact with the department and Potsdam University of Applied Sciences.

The final event was intended to offer participants the opportunity to establish and maintain networks. On the 19th of June, 2025 the summer festival of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam took place on campus. The perspektiv;wechsel collective organised its own stand there. A central element was the distribution of self-designed merchandise - including buttons, stickers, jute bags and small prints. The merch was distributed as a gift to visitors to the festival - as a small token of appreciation to all those who have supported, accompanied and inspired their work in recent years.

"The campaign was also a special occasion for us to express our gratitude and celebrate: this year, we were awarded the FHP's Volunteer Award by the Fördergesellschaft e. V. - a great honour and motivation for our continued commitment. With our campaign, we want to celebrate this award with our friends, fellow students and supporters and say thank you in a creative way - to all those who think, participate and support us."
