CampusMediaHub

The CampusMediaHub offers advice on and loans media technology for digital teaching, technical support for online examination as well as assistance with the design and implementation of audiovisual media.

Our offer

Digital formats have fundamentally changed the requirements for teaching and knowledge transfer. Media technology plays a central role here, as it supports didactic processes, facilitates access to knowledge and enables new forms of interaction. Particularly in the context of university teaching, media technology offers decisive potential for presenting and communicating complex teaching content in a comprehensible way, making it flexibly available and designing it sustainably.

In order to make these possibilities systematically accessible, targeted promotion, coordination and further development of media technology offerings is necessary. At the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, these potentials are being specifically tapped and further developed by the CampusMediaHub. The aim is to create opportunities for the testing and further development of digital formats and thus provide new impetus for media-supported university teaching. In this way, the practical, technically sound implementation of digital teaching and learning formats is promoted in the long term.

The CampusMediaHub supports lecturers and students in the implementation of digital teaching and examination formats. Our services cover the following areas:

  • Online examinations,
  • lending of media technology and
  • advice and support for audiovisual projects (e.g. video, podcast, photo, virtual reality and much more).

Online exams

The CampusMediaHub team will support you in conducting online exams on the Moodle exam instance exam in conjunction with the Safe Exam Browser. The online exams can take place in the lecture theatres in the main building (HG 108, HG 67) or in the PC pools of the Departments. There are 120 laptops available. We will provide you with organisational and technical support from preparation to on-site implementation. The following steps are planned:

  1. Registration: Please register for your online exams by the 31st of January for the summer semester and by the 30th of June for the winter semester using the Excel Spreadsheet below. Please fill in all empty fields. If you are unable to provide certain information (e.g. number of participants), please provide estimates.
  2. Organisation: You will receive an e-mail from us to schedule a consultation. In the consultation (at least 6 weeks before the exam) we will clarify the procedure, organisational and technical requirements as well as special framework conditions.
  3. Realisation: The prepared equipment is ready for use on the day of the exam. Teachers and students receive technical support during the examination.
