The aim of the project is to further develop or supplement the procedures already used in Berlin daycare centres to assess language skills and to observe and document children's development. Accordingly, the focus of the project is on the development of a procedure that makes the observation process child-centred, holistic and integrated into everyday life for the educational staff.

The resulting BeoKiz procedure guides educational professionals through the three phases of the observation and documentation process in an everyday manner: observation - evaluation - deduction. This enables the professionals to deal with the observation process in a resource-friendly and strength-orientated way.
