Lovingly preserved, carefully restored: The FHP presented selected projects from the conservation and restoration degree programme in an exhibition at the 2025 environmental festival in Potsdam and invited visitors to take part in exciting hands-on activities.

TThe conservation of resources and the potential to extend the lifespan of materials, buildings and other objects through conservation and restoration were among the topics that sparked lively discussions with the numerous visitors who came to see the FHP Mobile.

Various hands-on activities on board the FHP Mobile attracted visitors and gave them the opportunity to talk about their studies. Tasks ranged from learning or refreshing the Sütterlin script, to completing crossword puzzles with terms from the three disciplines, identifying architectural components, and categorising moisture-damaging processes in buildings. Younger visitors enjoyed "filling in the gaps" with coloured pencils.

Helping to solve the tasks led to interesting conversations and educational work. The aim was to draw attention to the importance of conservation and restoration as a social responsibility. We were supported in this endeavour by the exhibition in the FHP-Mobile, where various materials and artisanal techniques were presented. Many were fascinated by the degree programme's versatility.
