Understanding Dementia. A Series of Workshops for Family Caregivers

The ‘Family and University in Brandenburg’ network is offering a free series of care courses on the topic of dementia, comprising four consecutive sessions. Lecturer Marina Dillmann will draw on her many years of experience in supporting patients and their relatives. Further information can be found in the ‘Workshop Series on Caring for Relatives’ news.

The care series will take place online in two sessions:

• 1st session in September – registration open: 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of September 2026, from 9.30 to 11.30 am on each date 
• 2nd session in November – registration now closed: 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th of November 2026, from 2.00 to 4.00 pm on each date

About the speaker: Marina Dillmann is a psychological counsellor and psychotherapist (HPG), a freelance occupational therapist and a seminar leader for training and further education in the fields of gerontology, relaxation techniques and communication. For over twenty years, she has specialised in the care and treatment of people with dementia. As an expert in this field, she supports people – whether professionally or privately – by providing information, training and raising awareness, as well as offering guidance and support. As the founder of the DERINA Educational Workshop, she runs seminars for professionals, families and people living with dementia. And for anyone who simply wants to understand.
