Doctoral and Research Colloquium: Development of new Value Chains and Marketing Channels

How can transdisciplinary research contribute to the development of new value chains and marketing channels for quality (beef) meat? Investigation of transfer effects using the example of WertWeideVerbund (2021 – 2023) and CC4RegioFleisch (2023 – 2025)
The WertWeideVerbund and CC4RegioFleisch projects take a transdisciplinary approach to researching new ways of marketing (organic) meat. Practical solutions were developed and trialled through close cooperation between science, agricultural businesses, meat processing companies, retailers and community catering. Both projects were evaluated by accompanying scientific research. Interviews with all stakeholders involved in the value chain made it possible to identify key challenges and success factors for the marketing approaches trialled. In addition, both projects revealed both the potential and the challenges of transdisciplinary cooperation.
