Discomfort with History? Dealing with Contemporary Anti-Semitism and Right-Wing Extremism at Memorial Sites
The research focus of this qualitative study is on how contemporary anti-Semitism and right-wing extremism manifest themselves in memorial sites, and what challenges and needs this gives rise to.
On the basis of four group discussions with educational staff at memorials to former concentration camps, collective patterns of interpretation, orientations and narrative practices are reconstructed and, starting from this empirical basis, reflection impulses for practice are formulated.
