ZDF Investigates in Havelland - and the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam Plays Along!

On the 9th of May 2026, the "Havelland-Krimi" will start on ZDF - if you can't wait, you can already peek into the ZDF Mediathek.

A young restoration student is found dead on the banks of the Havel. Prosecutor Dena Paulos and her team take on the case - and the clues lead right into the heart of Potsdam's university landscape.

The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam as a film location

Particularly exciting for all those who know the campus: In August 2025, the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam was transformed into a film set. The stone workshop of the Conservation and Restoration degree programme played a central role - in keeping with the plot, as the victim was also studying restoration. The design rooms also became a set, and an atmospheric party including a fog machine took place in the centre foyer of the laboratory and workshop building.

What made it into the final cut? It's best to find out for yourself - and take a close look: One or two familiar faces are said to be hiding among the lecturers in the film ...
