Start-of-Studies Scholarships for International Students at FHP

In the winter semester 2025/26, the International Office of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam awarded Start-of-Studies Scholarship for the first time. With this partial scholarship, the university provides targeted support for international first-year students in the introductory phase of their studies and helps to cover special additional costs that arise at the beginning of a degree programme. These include additional costs and time required to improve German language skills as well as purchases for work and learning materials and necessary equipment for their studies.

The scholarship was presented on Monday, 1 December 2025, on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. During a small reception, the International Office team presented the certificates to the selected students and congratulated them personally on receiving the scholarship. A total of nine international students were supported.

By awarding the scholarships, the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam is strengthening its support for international first-semester students and sending an important signal for equal opportunities and a successful start to their studies.
