On taking office, Prof Dr Helga Schmid says: "We live in a web of relationships - with each other and in our time. Our Department of Design is more than an organisational structure: it is a growing network of perspectives, practices and opportunities that is constantly evolving in exchange with students.
As the new Dean, I am looking forward to accompanying this exchange with responsibility and commitment. Together, I would like to open up paths of learning in which experiments, narratives, ideas and research come together and diverse perspectives for shaping our future emerge."
