University of Applied Sciences Potsdam provides jury member for the Brandenburg Building Culture Award 2025

The Brandenburg Chamber of Architects (Brandenburgische Architektenkammer, BA) and the Brandenburg Chamber of Engineers (Brandenburgische Ingieneurkammer, BBIK), with the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning (Ministerium für Infrastruktur und Landesplanung, MIL), have awarded the Brandenburg Building Culture Prize for the ninth time.

The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam is delighted that Professor Rüdiger Lorenz was a member of the jury for this year's Brandenburg Building Culture Award.

Rüdiger Lorenz is Professor of Building Physics and Building Climatology at our university. As a graduate physicist, he found his way into the construction sector after completing his studies and was delighted to be able to contribute his professional expertise from many years of commercial building physics and façade consulting as well as teaching experience with our students of the department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Restoration to the decision-making process for the award.

Professor Lorenz reflects: "It is wonderful that the concept of building culture is now understood much more broadly and that my arguments on functional, energetic and ecological quality were received with such understanding by the other members of the jury and included in the evaluation."

The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam considers Professor Lorenz's participation to be an enrichment for building culture in Brandenburg and an important step towards promoting awareness of sustainable and high-quality building practices.

Further information on the award ceremony can be found on the website of the Ministerium für Infrastruktur und Landesplanung and the Brandenburgische Architektenkammer.
