How Founding Drives your Own Transformation - Laura van Altena on the Podcast: Gründungsgeist Berlin-Brandenburg
How do you start a business when your everyday life has long been full but you still don't want to give up anything? Laura van Altena talks to Doreen Löwe about the challenges of self-employment, being an employee and voluntary work and how the EXIST Women's Scholarship helps her to focus.
Laura van Altena works at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam in the joint project InNoWest on participation and education for sustainable development - and is building up her own business at the same time: Maleable, with a focus on transformation processes in municipalities and organisations. She talks to Doreen Löwe about starting a business alongside a job and care work, about the EXIST-Women funding programme, about fees, self-worth and the difficulty of finding your own focus amidst all your own interests and opportunities. An episode about the balancing act between employment and start-up, between idealism and everyday life - and about the question of what self-employment can look like if it is to fit in with your own life.
