Design graduates Thea Sparmeier and Kathrin Wedler met during their studies and founded their design studio Dots and Ducks immediately afterwards at the beginning of 2023. After two intensive years, they called it a day and went their separate ways professionally.
In this podcast, cultural manager Doreen Löwe talks about how this came about and explains why "quitting" feels like the opposite of failure to her.
The conversation openly shows the reality of start-ups in the creative sector: it's about financial pressure, the expectations placed on young women - but also about friendship, sincere communication and the importance that health can (should) play in success stories.
