Founder portrait Sebastian Voigt: Mates - Robotic Manufacturing and Design

The latest start-up portrait by filmmaker Andrej Tschitschil provides an insight into the robot-assisted manufacturing processes of designer Sebastian Voigt and how these can build a sustainable bridge between mass industry and regional craftsmanship.
The idea behind "Mates" is to utilise technology from the mass industry and thus enable regional craftsmen to work sustainably.
Sebastian's interest in robotics began in the early days of his studies. Through his part-time work in the film industry, he recognised the potential of this production method for resource-saving and sustainable production - especially for areas that require prototypes at relatively short notice. Immediately after completing his Master's degree in Industrial and Product Design, he set up his own business, Mates - Robotic Manufacturing and Design. In the video, the designer talks about all the advantages of robotics and why this can be a way to a better future.
