For all railway enthusiasts: The FHP Mobil was a guest at the 2022 Rail Day on the 16th and 17th of September on the premises of BahnTechnologie Campus Havelland GmbH.

First-hand information
Numerous companies, organisations and educational institutions were represented by experts on site at the BahnTechnologie Campus Havelland on Rail Technology Day 2022. What is research and development involved in? What opportunities are there for training and further education? These questions were a recurring theme during the two days of the exhibition.

Guided tours
Best insights into the railway system: How does a switch work? What does a train look like from below? What are drones used for? Guided tours provided information about this.

Join-in railway operations lab
How does safe railway operation work? What exactly are the tasks of train drivers and dispatchers? In the railway operations hands-on lab, interested visitors were able to take on these jobs themselves – and gain a first impression.

Children's programme & catering
For children aged 3 and over, there was a varied children's programme on site with a bouncy castle, Lego Duplo train and painting station. Catering was provided by the sports club ESV Lokomotive Elstal and the volunteer fire brigade from Elstal.

The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam presented "Spiel mit Grenzen – Mein persönliches CO₂ Budget" and final theses on the topic of mobility and sustainability

"Spiel mit Grenzen – Mein persönliches CO₂ Budget" is a hands-on game that emerged from the "Materialnet" research project led by Prof. Holger Jahn and Tobias Jänecke. Prof. Holger Jahn, Professor of Mobility and Design, and Tobias Jänecke, research assistant in the project, presented the "Materialnet" research project, which was completed in 2022, and a hands-on activity in front of the FHP Mobil, where visitors could use Lego bricks to find out what their ecological footprint is.

A series of exciting works from the Design department were also presented in the FHP Mobil. Starting with the Bachelor's thesis by Janis Specks, who dealt with the waste logistics of tomorrow in his work "Autonomous Disposal Logistics – First Mile Waste Management". Or the master's thesis by Yuedi Zhang, who designed a monorail city logistics system for the Chinese metropolis of Chongqing with "DiCargo – Intermodal City Logistics". One very interesting study project is "MOON – Autonomous Mobility as a Service". Here, autonomous driving is combined with sharing. The last-mile concept "Rover – Integrated Mobility Thinking" deals with the possibilities of new vehicle architectures in the field of MaaS (Mobility as a Service) and the German Ordinance on Small Electric Vehicles (ekfV).
