FHP Deutschlandstipendium Awarded to 28 Students
28 students at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam will receive the FHP Deutschlandstipendium during the 2026/27 funding period. University President Prof Dr Eva Schmitt-Rodermund awarded the scholarships on the 14th of October 2026 as part of the event "Ein Tag mit 360° ZUKUNFT“.
Grant recipients receive 300.00 Euro per month for one year. This year, there are two more grants than last year.
The Deutschlandstipendium is awarded to students who demonstrate excellent academic performance and a commitment to society. The selection process also takes into account voluntary work and the overcoming of personal or life-related challenges. The grant is independent of the student’s own income and that of their parents. It can be received in addition to BAföG.
The scholarships are made possible by 20 sponsors: companies, foundations, associations and private individuals. Since the programme began, the university, together with these sponsors and the federal government, has been able to distribute a total of 1,488,510 euros to students.
“Behind each of these scholarships is someone who says: „I believe in these students“. For that, I would like to thank our sponsors,” says University President Prof Dr Eva Schmitt-Rodermund. “I am particularly pleased when this becomes more than just a bank transfer: sponsors and grant recipients strike up a conversation. This shows that education benefits not only the individual, but all of us.”

About the Germany Scholarship
The Deutschlandstipendium is a nationwide funding programme run by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (Bundesministeriums für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt, BMFTR). It supports high-achieving and committed students, regardless of their background or income. Half of the 300.00 Euro per month are provided by private sponsors and half by the federal government. The grant runs for at least two semesters and at most until the end of the standard period of study. It does not need to be repaid.
