DFG appoints Prof. Dr Ulrike Wuttke to the Committee for Academic Libraries and Information Systems
The DFG's Joint Committee has elected Dr Ulrike Wuttke, Professor of Library Science with a focus on Digital Humanities and Open Science, to the Committee for Academic Libraries and Information Systems (AWBI). She will support the committee in the 2026 to 2029 term of office with her expertise in the further development of scientific information infrastructures.
The Joint Committee of the Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) has elected Dr Ulrike Wuttke, Professor of Library Science - Strategies, Service Development and Science Communication, as a member of the Committee for Academic Libraries and Information Systems (AWBI) for her expertise in the digital humanities with a focus on open science. Prof Wuttke was appointed by the President of the DFG, Prof Dr Katja Becker, for the years 2026 to 2029.
The AWBI advises the DFG on all projects and measures for the development and promotion of scientific information provision, analyses the current requirements of scientific information infrastructures, picks up on new developments and identifies the fields that should be developed or further developed with targeted funding initiatives.
