Calm and Confident in Job Interviews
Whether it’s for a part-time job, an internship or a full-time role after graduation: job interviews basically always follow the same pattern, and it’s almost always a nerve-wracking experience. Psychologist Lydia Hänel helps you prepare for these situations and shows you how to present yourself in the best possible light.
Receiving an invitation to a face-to-face interview brings great joy at being able to take the next step after submitting your application. At the same time, as the date draws nearer, so does the nervous excitement of wanting to present yourself in the best possible light on the day and make a good impression.
In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to prepare for this important meeting mentally, in terms of their outward appearance and rhetorically. Whilst planning the content well is also important, the ‘how’ is far more crucial than the ‘what’ when it comes to convincing the person you’re speaking to.
Self-reflection, group discussions, interactive exercises and learning various tips and tricks enable you to consciously and positively shape your own first impression and self-perception, to remain calm and confident despite feeling nervous, to make a convincing impression through your choice of words and demeanour, and to develop strategies that help you stay as relaxed as possible both before and during the meeting.
