CHEERS – Welcome and Farewell at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam
An evening for new faces, special moments and a look back: we are saying farewell to the professors who have supported and shaped the FHP over the past few years, and welcoming our new professors. We’ll also be celebrating the FHP’s recognition as a higher education institution with a strong commitment to gender equality. Afterwards, it’s time to get together, raise a glass, have a chat – and round off the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
This year, CHEERS – as well as serving as an occasion to welcome new students and bid farewell to graduating ones – will also provide the setting for the presentation of the ‘University with Strong Commitment to Gender Equality’ plaque by State Secretary Tobias Dünow (Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg). The FHP received this award as part of the „Professorinnenprogramm 2030“ (Women Professors Programme 2030), a funding programme run by the federal and state governments, in which the FHP’s application was successful for the fourth year running last year – following funding in programme rounds I, II and III.

In the foyer, there will be a poster exhibition on the now-completed Professorinnenprogramm III, featuring a presentation of the programme, portraits of the funded female professors, and an overview of the initiatives that were realised between 2020 and 2026 thanks to the funding.
