Research about the underrepresentation of female scientists in journalism and science communication as well as the development of formats and a support structure to increase the visibility of female experts and create role models for young scientists.

The project investigates the underrepresentation of female scientists in science reporting and digital science communication.

Based on this, sustainable action strategies and support systems will be developed that lead to a successful increase in the presence of female scientists in both areas.

For this purpose, the project cooperates with media partners from print, TV and radio. The implemented modules of the support structure are used and tested in the project's nationwide university network and also disseminated by the transfer partners.

Anyone who is interested can follow the project on their social media channels Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn (@dieWissenschaftlerinnen) and Twitter (@bmbfwim).
