Recognition of Academic Credentials

Recognition of previous academic credentials and semesters

An informal application must be submitted for the recognition of academic credentials and semesters. Please note the information on recognition and credit transfer when submitting your application.

Recognition of internship periods

Recognition of VHS foreign language courses

Foreign language courses offered by the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam in cooperation with the VHS Potsdam are recognised as flex modules directly by the Assessment Administration Service. Please contact your responsible officer (Heike Labes or Ines Borchert) with an informal application stating your name, degree programme and matriculation number. Indicate whether the work in the flex module is to be recorded as ungraded or graded (the certificate must show a grade). Bring a copy and the original of the certificate with you to the Assessment Administration Service. (In Corona times, an application by E-Mail with a scan of the certificate is sufficient).

Declaration of independence

On the last page of a written examination (term paper and other written work as part of a performance record), the following declaration must be made on the basis of the decision of the examination board of the faculty dated from the 8th of January 2020 and dated and signed by the student. Please note that failure to comply with the information in the declaration of independence constitutes an attempt to deceive within the meaning of Section 28 (1) of the Framework Regulations for Studies and Examinations at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. In accordance with § 28 para. 3, the responsible examination board can determine the final failure of an examination or the final loss of the right to take examinations in the degree programme in cases of repeated serious violations of the recognised rules for ensuring good academic practice.

Please note that this template does not apply to final theses (Bachelor's and Master's), as Section 20 (10) of the Framework Regulations for Studies and Examinations at University of Applied Sciences Potsdam requires a declaration with an affidavit. You can find the template here.

Online exam administration

You can register and deregister for examinations in the MyCampus university portal. You must register both for the booking of grades and for active participation. Changes to the examination status are possible up to three working days before the respective date. You can also find your examination results in MyCampus.

For technical queries about the QIS system or if the TAN list is blocked, please contact mycampus-service@fh-potsdam.de, stating your name, matriculation number and degree programme. If you have any questions regarding registration or examination regulations, please contact madeleine.neidel@fh-potsdam.de, stating your name, matriculation number and degree programme. In the event of incorrect or missed examinations, please contact the Examination Service.

Final theses

Apply for a thesis

The original application must be sent to the Examinations Office with a proposed topic, the suggestions and signatures of the first and second assessors.

The form can be found on the MyCampus homepage for students under "Information from the Department of Study and Examination Services".

 

Affidavit for final theses

On the last page of the final thesis, the following declaration must be made on the basis of Section 20 (10) of the Framework Regulations for Studies and Examinations of the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and dated and signed in the student's own hand.

It should be noted that the violation of the information in the affidavit not only constitutes an attempt to deceive within the meaning of Section 28 of the Framework Regulations for Studies and Examinations of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, but also a false affidavit in accordance with Section 156 of the German Criminal Code: Anyone who makes a false affidavit before an authority responsible for taking an affidavit or makes a false statement on the basis of such an affidavit shall be punished with imprisonment of up to three years or a fine.
