Doctoral Programme of the Brandenburg Universities of Applied Sciences
With the granting of the right to award doctoral degrees, the Doctoral College of Brandenburg’s universities of applied sciences is now able to award doctoral degrees independently. The Doctoral College is jointly supported by the four state universities of applied sciences in Brandenburg – University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, HNE Eberswalde, TH Brandenburg and TH Wildau.
Structure and admission to the doctoral programme
The doctoral programme is divided into three sections: Engineering sciences, natural and environmental sciences, and economic, social and media sciences, within which leading researchers from the four participating universities of applied sciences come together to carry out doctoral research projects.
Those interested in pursuing a PhD can approach professors with a strong research background to initiate a PhD project within the doctoral college. Applications for a PhD programme are submitted via the Dean’s Administrative Office once the doctoral regulations have come into force.
The doctoral programme already offers a range of training opportunities, as well as networking and information events, which you are very welcome to attend.

Dean’s Administrative Office of the Doctoral Programme
The Dean’s Administrative Office of the doctoral programme for Brandenburg’s universities of applied sciences is based at HNE Eberswalde and coordinates the new tasks and processes.
