As part of the European Month of Photography 2023, seven schools of photography from Berlin and Potsdam collaborated to present the work of their graduates and students on the topic "Drängende Gegenwart". The joint exhibition was shown from 4 to 26 March 2023 at Leipziger Straße 54 in Berlin-Mitte. It gave younger photographers a voice for the first time in the festival and paid tribute to the work of Berlin's private and public educational institutions. The works shown reflected the massive social and societal upheavals and challenges shaped by the confluence of multiple crises. The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam was represented by the works of Amely Sommer, Julia Bohle, Meera Lehr, Klara Stangl and Marcia Friese.

The contributions of the individual schools were created under the direction of Wiebke Loeper (FH Potsdam), Walter Bergmoser (University of Europe for Applied Sciences), Anja Manfredi (Schule Friedl Kubelka), Henrik Spohler (HTW Berlin), Marc Volk (International Photography School), Werner Mahler and Thomas Sandberg (Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie).
