Your advantages

In addition to the professional exchange and the expansion or deepening of networks, the focus is on strengthening your own linguistic and intercultural skills. You carry out the stay on the basis of a coordinated programme within the framework of your working hours. And the Erasmus programme finances you in the process.

Who can participate?

The programme is open to all employees of our university - from trainees to the president. Discuss your plans with your supervisor beforehand.

Length of stay

The duration of the mobility can be between 2 days and 2 months (excluding travel time).

The start date of the funded period of stay is the first day on which the participant must be present at the host institution, the end date is the last day on which the participant must be present at the host institution.

For reasons of available funds, it is not always possible to finance the entire duration of the stay.

Activity formats

  • Job shadowing and job shadowing
  • Language courses
  • International staff weeks
  • Workshops and seminars
  • Participation in curriculum development (lecturers)

Staff weeks and language courses

Universities and institutions abroad regularly organise so-called International staff weeks on various topics. Many institutes also offer language courses for university staff.

You can find an overview of Erasmus staff training opportunities in the iMOTION database.

Activities at partner universities

Our partner universities organise international staff weeks, which we will be happy to inform you about.

Financial support

You will receive a travel flat rate and a country-dependent daily flat rate before the start of your mobility. An additional settlement of the actual costs incurred after the stay is not necessary. If the actual costs exceed the maximum grant, the additional costs are to be borne by the participants themselves or covered by other funding pots at the FHP.

You will receive a daily flat rate per day of stay, depending on the country. The flat rates are set by the Erasmus+ programme as follows:

180 euros/day Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom
160 euros/day Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain
140 Euro/day Bulgaria, FYR Macedonia, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary

The travel costs are determined depending on real distances between the place of departure and the place of destination of the stay using a Europe-wide standardised calculation tool of the EU commission. If you travel all or part of the distance to your place of stay by sustainable means of transport, you may receive an additional supplement (top-up) on your travel allowance (environmentally friendly travel).
